Welcome to the Bible Belt: A Photo Collection by Natalie
The following is a sample of what I see everyday on my way to and from work. There are about 10 churches along the drive to Ft. Walton Beach, most on Highway 98, and several more going west if I'm heading towards Rubys. What's funny to me is in between these churches are several little bars, a liquor store and a strip club.

So for the last several months, I've been collecting pictures of these inspirational messages when I get the chance. I don't always have my camera with me or I can't always pull over so I've missed some of the good ones, but I've aquired several and Cory keeps asking me to put them up. He actually got all these on the web and told me yesturday to sit down, write something and show them already! Geez. Don't know why it bugs him. Some have made me laugh, some have made me mad, and some are kind of scary. I think it would be more respectable to just put bible verses on the signs, because some of these places are a bit outspoken.

The second set of pics are just some pictures that show subtle insights into the local culture of Pensacola. I don't want to seem like I am poking fun. This place is pretty much like everywhere else. I honestly find it interesting. My favorite is the mural for the dentist office . Certainly quite an inviting place. Really good advertising. Hee-hee. Okay sorry, but that place is just asking for it. As for that last pic of KFC, it just needs a little cross on the top and I'd swear it was a church.
